RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) Vaccines

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a respiratory illness that can cause pneumonia and other complications in older adults. Those aged 75 to 79, or those who turned 80 after 1st September 2024, are eligible to receive vaccination against RSV.

If you’re pregnant, after 28 weeks of pregnancy you’ll be eligible for a vaccination against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). RSV affects young babies and can cause serious complications such as bronchiolitis, pneumonia or other complications.

RSV can cause serious breathing problems for babies or older adults. Women who are over 28 weeks pregnant, or those aged 75-79 or who turned 80 after 1st September 2024, are eligible for a free vaccination.
